Dyed paper, gilt and shimmering
This print is inspired by 18th century decorated gilt "brocade" prints, where the design is first printed from a hand carved woodcut then, while the ink is still wet, it is dusted with gold.
These are printed with vegetable-based archival inks on 100% cotton paper. The paper is colored by hand. Read more about our materials and process here.
The blue prints are printed on paper hand-dyed with genuine indigo.
Prints are hand printed on our printing press from 1910.
