Papillon Press is Madeleine (she/they) and Vernon (he/him) Wiering, a daughter and father stationery, design, and printmaking team, based in St. Louis, MO and Grand Rapids, MI. Our shop focuses on high quality stationery such as letterpress goods made in-house, fountain pens and inks, and paper goods from all over the world. For those wondering, "Papillon" is French for "butterfly" and is pronounced "pa•pē•yon".
We call ourselves "design archaeologists", who dig through the past to find designs and decorated papers and resurrect them by reproducing and reimagining these often hidden examples of beauty. We then make them available as decorative paper and derivative products.
We also sell pens and other fun stationery items, because all notebooks need a pen to go with them!
