so we developed this notebook with this in mind. We started with a 7"x9.5" format as a good workspace, with .5mm squares. The head of each page has two red lines. We don't know about you, but we always like to have the option to have a header to each page. We also have lines, and blank available.
A wire binding works well with grid notebooks, as it allows both hands freedom to move. We like this especially if we are using a ruler or other tools in our design work.
It reflects an era where ornament was very detailed, complex, and dense, as well as very geometrical. Similar design elements can be seen in ironwork of the late 19th Century. The digitally printed covers feature a hand stamped gold frame.

I picked up a pumpkin blank notebook at a local fair because it reminded me of a Victorian songbook. I love it; it looks perfect sitting on my desk!
